Come along and learn all about the tree pests and diseases currently having devastating impacts on various tree species. Find out about the potential threats to tree health and discover how to diagnose and manage tree pests and diseases.

The course trainer is Matt Elliot, who is the Woodland Trust’s Tree Health Adviser. Matt has a wealth of knowledge and has many years’ experience in this area. He has been the tree health advisor for the Woodland Trust for 4 years and in his previous role he was a Forest Pathologist for Forest Research with a specialism in Phytophthora diseases of trees.

The training will start off at Lambourne End Outdoor centre and the group will then explore Hainault Forest with Matt.

This is a free training session for Woodland Trust volunteers based in the central and south east regions.
