Thank You

Hot off the heels of Volunteers Week,  we wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our wonderful volunteers who support us so enthusiastically throughout the year.  As you all know in Northern Ireland we have a relatively small staff team and so the added support that we get from you is so important to help us achieve our goals together.

Over the past year we have welcomed new volunteers at our newest woodlands Glas-na-Bradan Wood and Mourne Park, we have reignited our task days and event schedule and we are looking to the future with excitement as together we get to launch some of our biggest projects throughout 2022 – all with your help!  If you didn’t make it along to one of our volunteers week events below will give you a quick overview of some of the top projects you’ve supported over the past year.

2022, will see the opening of Glas-na-Bradan Wood and Mourne Park, works completed across our estate including upgrades to Glasswater Wood and The Drum, and the much anticipated launch of the Faughan Valley Woodlands!

Our wonderful volunteers have been involved in all of these exciting projects and more!  Without your help we couldn’t have done it – so from everyone in the Woodland Trust Northern Ireland team – thank you for your ongoing support and positivity!

Earlier this year we created a short film in the Faughan Valley which gives you a bit of an insight into the volunteer programmer there – you can view the video here if you want to find out more: (103) Faughan Valley – How our volunteers are helping this woodland thrive – YouTube
