Sightings of the month! What have you spotted?

We always love to hear of wildlife sightings across the region – it shows what a fantastic job we are doing protecting the woodland we so value and care about. The plan here in the South East is to capture this through beginning a regular ‘Sighting of the month’ feature, to showcase not only what wonderful creatures we share our space with but also the splendid time well spent by our wildlife monitor volunteers.

To kick things off, we approached Tim Hewke, Warden and Wildlife Monitor at various Kentish sites, for some videos and, not ever one to disappoint, you can see what and who he has been spying on in the clips below (a collection of some favorites from several months of 2021 on this occasion)! Thank you, Tim, for such magnificent footage!

If you have any photographs or videos that you would like to share, please let us know by emailing SEVolunteering@woodlandtrust.org.uk. We would love to see them!

We are also hosting a regular ‘Photo of the month’ competition on our Volunteer Facebook group. Please join in here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/woodlandtrustvolunteersĀ
