It is good to be back visiting volunteers again
The lifting of lockdown rules has meant that I have been able to get back into the woods again, catch up with some of you and see what amazing work you have been doing.
I enjoyed going to a wood very local to me in Exmouth Liverton copse and speaking to the volunteers about their plans for tree planting, and desire for some dormice footprint tubes to see if the mouse is present in the wood, and which part.
I have been to visit Allington Hill, on my last visit there was many talks about developing a community area on the field which is leased to the parish council. This area has been completed for some time now, but it was my first chance to see it, what an amazing job the volunteers have done.
I plan on coming out to several groups over the coming months as woodland working groups begin to return to the woods again and I am looking forward to seeing you in the flesh again. Whatever role you do, if you would like me to visit you, please do let me know so that I can start planning my visits over the next 12 months or so.
It has been lovely to see so many of you attend the volunteer zoom events. Please do let me know if there are any subjects you would like covered and I will do my best to find a speaker in that field. It would also be great to hear your views on if you are more likely to attend a zoom event or if you would rather go back to face to face meetings again, please do let me know your thoughts by e mailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Looking forward to seeing you soon either in one of our woods or at a zoom event. If you have any questions in the meantime that I can help with, please do let me know.
