Talking Trees in the South East

Here in the South East, we are fortunate enough to have a small yet merry band of volunteer speakers, who have been operating in the region for several years, spreading the word about the Woodland Trust, as part of our ‘Talking Trees’ volunteer speaker network!

Previously, this role has been managed by staff in WT HQ; however, the scheme has recently been decentralised and is set for further development in the years to come, now managed by Anna Claxton and Lucy Shea, Volunteer Development Officers. Although recruitment remains on hold at the moment, if you would like more information about the programme, please let us know.

The volunteer speaker network operates across the UK, now managed regionally in the SE

Thank you so much as always to our volunteer speakers, for going above and beyond in supporting woods and trees. We are excited to be working with you.

Words: Anna Claxton, Volunteer Development Officer (South East)
