Facebook group launches today
We are very pleased to announce that we are launching the new Woodland Trust volunteer Facebook group today. I know many of you are looking forward to this so please do come and join us here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/woodlandtrustvolunteers.
This group is for active Woodland Trust volunteers to network, share photographs and discuss topics relating to their volunteering role, woods, trees and wildlife. To help ensure that only active volunteers have access to the Facebook group page, group members will be regularly reviewed so please don’t forward the link on to anyone who is not currently volunteering with us, even if they intend to do so in the future. All new volunteers will be told about the group in their welcome email.
Our aim is to keep the group page a positive, fun place. With this in mind, we would ask that this platform is not used to air your complaints or negative feedback aimed at the Woodland Trust, our projects or staff. Please follow the complaints process for this which can be found in the Volunteer Charter and the Volunteer Handbook or contact your VDO.
When joining the Facebook group please take some time to read through and familiarise yourself with the house rules which are posted in the group and can be found in the group files.
As we now move into summer and many of us spend more time outside and are stepping up our volunteering activity, we hope you will find this platform a useful way to communicate experiences, ask questions and share thoughts and ideas that will promote nature and trees. We’re looking to forward to seeing lots of new photographs, reading interesting comments and saying hello.
