South East events go virtual!

Christmas kicked off in style in the South East on 1st December with what we hope will become a permanent fixture in our events calendar -the Christmas quiz!

Volunteer Managers and regional volunteers went head to head, answering a broad range of often tricky festive brainteasers in a battle of epic proportions. It was neck and neck and an amazing effort from all who came along to party but the final bonus round saw Derryn and husband, Alan, sprint across the finish line as clear winners with a whopping 20.5 points out of 35! We can only assume that their fabulous seasonal attire gave them the extra edge!

We thank everyone who has supported the first of these online offerings – including talks held in November and our first volunteer induction – and urge you to check out those already planned for 2021 in the Whittle events calendar! In January, we will hear from Kentish warden, Tim, with fascinating stories of what it’s really like to be the eyes and ears of a Woodland Trust wood, as well as Kate Harvey, Site Manager, telling us about her experience in managing ash dieback on the estate, when she joins us in February.
