Join the National Volunteer Panel
The Woodland Trust is one of the UK’s leading conservation charities. We have over 500,000 members and supporters and more than 1,000 sites all over the UK. We believe life’s better with trees. We protect and campaign on behalf of the UK’s woods; plant more trees, and restore ancient woodland, for the benefit of wildlife and people.
The Woodland Trust recognises that volunteers add tremendous value to the organisation throughout the different departments, locations and projects. Which is why we have set up a National Volunteering Panel to give a formalised volunteer voice into the organisation. We are looking for a representative for South Wales to join the Panel and help shape the future of volunteering at The Trust.
The purpose of the panel is to function as an advisory group with three specific areas of focus; providing a group for consultation purposes, to represent volunteers from the regions and countries by delivering feedback, asking questions of a national or strategic nature and to attend and work with the Volunteer development officers on their local networking events providing an opportunity for volunteers to connect with representatives of the panel and to deliver events appropriate to the volunteers within the localities
This is a fantastic opportunity to really make a difference not just to volunteers across the country but the organisation as a whole. If you’d like to put yourself forward to support volunteers in South Wales please have a look at the Task outline and fill in the short application form found below and email this to us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you know of another volunteer who you think would be a great candidate please let them know and encourage them to get involved.
We look forward to hearing from you soon
