Coppicing and Hedgelaying at Spud Wood
The hardworking volunteers from the Spud Wood woodland working group have been busy throughout the winter months coppicing hazel and laying an old thorn hedge that runs through the site. A dedicated band of them, led by volunteer leader Nick Storer, have been working most Wednesdays since the group started last November.
The volunteers’ work has made a huge improvement to the site already and they are a great help in managing the site. Thanks to all who have lent a hand!
