Booking open for our ancient tree recording day at Glamis Castle – Saturday 6th June

Come and record some of the big, old trees at Glamis with us to celebrate National Volunteers’ Week.

This will be the 4th year running that we have recorded trees in the 1st week in June, but previous years have been at Drummond Castle near Comrie.

Only a couple of trees in the grounds of Glamis have been recorded on the Ancient Tree Inventory (ATI), so we’ll have plenty to do recording the others!   We’ll have a look at the incredible spreading horse chestnut tree that is already on the ATI – it’s a cracker!

We’ll visit the incredible Glamis horse chestnut tree

My daughter exploring the chestnut tree’s interior!

It will be hard to beat the spectacular picnics we’ve had from Comrie Croft at our Drummond Castle events,  but lunch and refreshments will be provided on the day.
