North England December Volunteer Update
With Christmas so very nearly upon us, I wanted to take the opportunity to say an enormous thank you to all of you from the Woodland Trust for everything you have done to support us and our work during 2019.
I am continually inspired and amazed by the commitment and time and energy you offer us to help our cause in so many different ways, and feel truly lucky to be a part of supporting our fantastic volunteers here in the north England region. Thank you and here’s to another great year of volunteering in 2020.
Volunteer Training programme 2020
Thanks to everyone who came along and joined us at our training events this year. I am pleased to announce that our volunteer training programme for 2020 is now organised and available to book.
All courses are below, to book simply click on the course. All courses can also be booked through the Woodland Trust website, by clicking on ‘ support us’, ‘events’ and ‘volunteer events’.
Our courses are free and open to all volunteers across the northern region.
I would ask however if you need to cancel your booking, or find once you have booked you are no longer able to make it, please do let me know as soon as possible by emailing me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. This allows someone else to be able to take your place. As we pay for trainers and venues for these courses it also ensures our courses can run at full capacity. Thanks!
We do also have a Summer Tree Identification taking place at Kibblesworth Millenium Centre, Kibblesworth in July 2020. The date for this is still to be finalised, but will be advertised on Whittle and on the volunteer events page of the Woodland Trust website in early January
Volunteer Gatherings 2020
I am pleased to say these are also now available to book. Everyone is very welcome and we would be delighted to see you there. Please note the slight difference to one or two of the dates from the provisional dates advertised. All information about each event can also be found on the local news and events pages on Whittle. For more information about each event and to book please click on the details below:
Looking forward to seeing you all in the new year. A very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2020
