Meet Philippa… our Oak award winner
Philippa Batchelor was this years Oak award winner.
The Oak award recognises the volunteer roles within the office and home environments and the value they contribute. This could be administration, mentoring, training or research roles.
Philippa has now been volunteering for the Woodland Trust for 7 years she started this as soon as her youngest child started school. Philippa is one of those volunteers who just works away in the background of the organisation but achieves great things and enable us to deliver so much more. She helps with event organisation from everything to the Caravan and Motorhome Show to Countryfile Live and regularly attends to lend a hand on the day.
As a volunteer she has given so much time to the organisation across the years volunteering an average 36 hours a month either in the office in Grantham or at home. It genuinely feels like Philippa is a part of the team. Philippa has also provided support to other teams, such as Supporter services, Schools and The National Volunteering Team to name just a few.
