No chainsaw certificate? No problem!
Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award participant Patrick and his dad got to work with routine thinning in Canal Wood using a Canadian cross cut saw.
Apart from being a very efficient piece of kit (no fuel required, other than tea and wheaten bread!) the soothing zing zing sound beats the roar of a chainsaw any day. It might be a little slower, but who wants to rush in a lovely woodland like this?
A great mornings work by the whole team, opening the canopy and creating a glade in the upper woodland.
