Nature’s Calendar – a year in the life of a tree
The Woodland Trust has decided to follow and document a year in the life of a single tree and we’d like you to do the same.
We’ll be monitoring the Grantham Oak, a beautiful tree more than 400 years old, that many of us pass on our way to work. At the moment the leaves are green, but it wont be long before they start to tint and we’ll notice the ripe acorns. We’ll be noting the dates of these seasonal changes and more, and adding them to the Nature’s Calendar database.
Look out for photos throughout the year which we’ll share on our blog and social media channels. Why don’t you monitor your favourite tree this year too? To find out how to get involved, read our blog.
