Volunteer Leader wanted for New Practical Group at Lady Mabel’s Wood

We are looking to develop a new practical conservation group at one of our sites at Lady Mabels Wood, Haigh, near Wigan, and are looking to recruit a group leader to volunteer with our Lancashire Site Manager, Colin Riley to help get a new group going at the site. The role would involve planning of practical days and coordinating a group of volunteers to run practical conservation management days on the site. We would of course be providing all tools, equipment and PPE for the group and would provide first aid training, group leader training and H&S / risk assessment training for the role.

Lady Mabel’s wood is a lovely new wood newly planted 20 or so years ago that is now in need of thinning and management. More details about the wood can be found here and full details about the role can be found here.
