Central region volunteer events and training survey: Please tell use what you’d like to see in 2020

Over the past 2 years we’ve delivered a number of events and training session in the central region for Woodland Trust volunteers.

The events that have taken place have been a mixture of network style events and guided walks with a focus on relevant conservation topics. We organise 4 of these a year and will move the locations of these events throughout the central region.

The training sessions have either had a conservation focus, for example tree identification, woodland ecology or tree pests and diseases or a health and safety focus, which has included lone working and personal safety, risk assessment and safeguarding and first aid training,

Some of the training sessions have been organised for specific groups of volunteers, where a training requirement was identified. Whenever this has occurred the volunteers have been involved in the process for identifying training need.

Here’s where we need your help! We are in the process of devising an exciting programme of events and training sessions for volunteers in 2020 and want to make sure we organise things that are interesting and useful to you. We’d welcome any suggestions from you, whether it is a subject you’d like to know more about, suggestions for venues and projects that you think other volunteers might be interested in, or when you’d like these to take place, for example time of year, weekend/ weekdays, mornings, afternoons, evenings etc. I appreciate that whatever we come up with won’t suit everyone, but your input will help us to shape a schedule that is tailored to your requirements.

Therefore, I’d be most grateful if you could complete the brief survey below. The survey will close on 22nd August 2019.

Thank you in advance for your help!
