A walk and a whittle – Sunday 13 October 2019

On Sunday 13 October we are running a thank you event for volunteers at Plas Power Woods.

Meet at Nant Mill Education Centre, LL11 3BT (parking and toilets available) for an 11am start. The morning will include a coffee and a catch up followed by a walk and talk (to include tree ID, ancient woodland restoration and sustainable management) around Plas Power woods led by Becky Good, the site manager. Sensible clothing and footwear is essential.

After lunch back at the education centre, we will be guided through wood working skills by staff from the Woodland Skills Centre. Try your hand at making tent pegs and using a shave horse to craft a spatula!

The event will end by 4.30pm

Maximum of 20 places available, first come first served.

Please book by emailing marthaboalch2@woodlandtrust.org.uk or ringing 07831523690 by Friday 6 September.

Please let us know of any dietary requirements when you RSVP.

Wrexham central train station is only 10 minutes away. If you prefer to travel by train we can organise travel from the station.

Please be advised this event is open to volunteers under 18, any under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
