The Woodland Trust is holding a guided walk for volunteers on Saturday 13th July at Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield from 1.30-4pm. Click here for more details or visit the event section of Whittle.
Why not book on to this event and learn all about historical Sutton Park. Led by the Sutton Park Rangers, the walk will provide you with an insight into the woodland management and rich history of the park. Spanning 2,400 acres, Sutton Park comprises of a number of different habitats, including ancient woodland, heathland and wetlands and therefore supports a large number of wildlife species, including some rare regional species. It is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and in 1997 it was designated a nature reserve. The site is grazed during various times of the year by cattle and ponies.
