Did you know… you can claim expenses as a volunteer?
A key piece of feedback from the Investing in Volunteers survey earlier in the year was that many SE volunteers were unsure about how to claim expenses related to their duties, e.g. reasonable travel costs. The Woodland Trust does not want to pose any financial barrier to involving people as volunteers so the organisation has an expenses policy for volunteers, which is available through the Whittle library. Do ask if you need help finding it as it gives clear guidance on what expenses we can reimburse for you and the process of how to claim or donate the expenses back to the Trust if you wish.
