Introducing David Logan: new site manager for the central region
David Logan is the newest member of staff for the central region, recruited into the role as site manager for Leicestershire. Taking over from Chris Williams, he will manage 21 Woodland Trust sites, including Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Wood, Willesley Wood and Martinshaw Wood. He will also be working with the volunteers on some of these sites who help the Woodland Trust with practical conservation work, wardening, leading guided walks and helping at events.
David has had a very varied career to date, all of which has been spent outside in some beautiful places. David studied Countryside Management at Bishop Burton College in Yorkshire in 2001 and since then has worked for the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust at Gibraltar Point; The National Trust in Devon; the Northern Devon Coast and Countryside Service in the South West and also worked for a hotel and holiday villa company throughout France. More recently he has been involved with looking after both gardens and woodland on private estates.
David naturally enjoys outdoor pursuits, including wildlife conservation, walking, scrambling and camping. Oh, and trees!
Welcome to David!
