‘The Time is Now’ for nature and climate.
We are going to Westminster for The Time is Now, a mass lobby for climate, nature and people.
You are invited.
On Wednesday 26 June we’re attending The Time is Now with our friends in the Climate Coalition and at GreenerUK. We will be meeting MPs alongside hundreds of other organisations: from faith groups, sports clubs, parent groups and conservation and development charities. We are all calling for action on climate change and strong laws that will create a healthier environment for nature and people. This is your opportunity to speak to your representative and demand action, now.
We feel so strongly about the significance of this moment, that as well as you – our wonderful volunteers – we’re also inviting our staff, our members and our supporters. We’re coming together to stand side by side and ask our representatives for action on the environment and climate change. This is an opportunity for you to see the sharp end of our campaigning work at the Trust, do something different and ask our politicians to go further – and – faster to protect our planet.

At 12 noon on Wednesday 26 June we’ll meet up at St James’ Park, London. Here, you’ll have a chance to meet up with other volunteers and staff from the Woodland Trust. We’ll then walk around the corner to the main lobby area for about 13:00 pm where we’ll divide into our different constituencies on the banks of the river by Westminster. Our MPs will then come out to us for face to face conversations and you’ll be able to talk about the climate and environmental (and tree) issues that affect you. The lobby will continue until about 16:30.
We’re putting on a coach from Grantham HQ for Staff and Volunteers – if you’d like more information then please email email@example.com
We’re also able to offer a discount code for National Express journeys to London on the day. This will become available when you register.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss the day I’m available at: firstname.lastname@example.org and on 0343 770 5455.
