Group Leader Training in the North
A big thanks to all of our woodland working group leaders who came along to join us on our group leader training this weekend. Our two courses, one in Birchwood near Warrington, and one in Stillington, near Stockton on Tees, saw us joined by many of our North England group leaders. The course was delivered by Nick Hall, Woodland Trust Health & Safety Manager, and Paul Taylor, National Volunteer manager and Sarah Shaw Volunteer Journey Officer, and is part of a programme of training being delivered to our woodland working group leaders across the UK.
A really useful opportunity to link up and share issues and experiences, hopefully the courses provided an opportunity to ensure our group leaders feel fully supported and informed with all the information they need to carry out the fantastic and hugely appreciated role they undertake in supporting our practical working groups across the region.
Thanks guys for giving up your weekend and for the excellent job you are doing in supporting our work
Claire Green – Volunteer Development Officer, North England
