Upcoming events in Scotland

We are kicking-off our season of events with some great opportunities coming up across Scotland. From Dog Easter egg hunts in Stoneyburn to litter picks in Skye there really is something for everyone.

Follow the links for some more information and details on how to book your place:

Doggy Easter, Stoneyburn, Friday 19 April, 10am-12noon

Bring your pooch and see if they can sniff out the prizes on our Easter egg hunt. Then have a go on our fun agility course, enter our doggy competitions and meet the Dog’s Trust and West Lothian Council Ranger Service. There may even be some dog friendly chocolate eggs too!

Free but donations welcome on the day. Booking will help us prepare for the day. Find more information and book your place here.

Plant! Formonthills, Glenrothes, Saturday 20 April, 10am-1pm.

Help us plant 500 trees to connect two woodland habitats. If we get though all the trees we will remove old tree guards. There will be some hard digging but it will be worth the effort!

This is a free event but booking will help us prepare for the day. Find more information and book your place here.

Easter Egg Assault, Glen Finglas, Sunday 21 April, 2-3:30pm

Will your egg survive? You’re invited to come along to a self-led walk where you take your egg on a wild journey through our woodland.  Will your egg endure the Aerial Runway, the Water Rapids or Catapult? There might even be some chocolate ones!

Charge of £2 per person. Find more information and book your place here.

Community litter pick, Dedridge, Livingston, Saturday 27 April, 11am – 1pm

Dunollie Wood drop-in, Corran Halls, Oban, Thursday 9 May 2019, 3-7pm

Come along and meet the delighted new custodians of Dunollie Wood, Woodland Trust Scotland.

Give us your feedback on the wood; tell us your stories, what you’d like to see there and what you wouldn’t. You will also be able to find out how to get involved in helping us to look after the wood or how to support us in other ways.

Drop-in any time to meet the team; bring the kids and have a cuppa. This is a free event but booking will help us prepare for the day. Book your place here.

Bluebell Photography, Kinclaven Bluebell Wood, Saturday 18 May, 10am-12noon or 1-3pm

This fun session aims to get you to switch off the “auto” function on your camera and start to take more control of the pictures you take. It is for beginners or near beginners. Come along with a camera of any kind, including phones, pocket cameras, bridge cameras or DSLR – whatever you have. We’ll be in a glorious bluebell wood snapping those lovely flowers, but what you learn should be useful for all the photos you take. The sessions will be led by Woodland Trust Scotland PR Officer George Anderson, who while not a professional photographer has picked up a few tips and shortcuts over the years. We aim to help you take better photos you’ll be proud to show off!

Charge of £5 per person. Find more information and book your place here.
