Volunteers plant almost 2000 trees at Carnmoney Hill
On Saturday 23rd March Woodland Trust volunteers joined forces with the Belfast Hills Partnership volunteers to take on the task of planting a huge number of trees at Carnmoney Hill in Newtownabbey.
It was a race against the seasons getting the last of our trees in the ground before the end of the planting season! Our willing group of volunteers got stuck in and battled against the very hard dry ground to plant a mix of Oak, Hazel, Birch and Cherry at the very top of Carnmoney Hill.
We got a beautiful day with the sun shining as we managed to give almost 2000 trees a home with a view!
Thanks to everyone who came along and helped out!!
