Trees are finally in the ground at Tring Park
After what felt like a long wait for FC approval, planting has finally begun on the Tring Park extension. The extension was bought in 2016, to create a buffer next to a beautiful piece of ancient woodland- Stubbings Wood. We want to create a link between this ancient woodland and our existing Tring Park. On the 6th March we welcomed corporate volunteers from Enterprise, Selfridges and Nationwide to plant at Tring. They were joined by our own volunteers from Tring Park and nearby Heartwood forest. Soon members of the Woodland Trust from across all departments will also help with the digging, a staff day is planned for the 19th March. 26,500 trees are need to go in on the fairly hilly site, so this should keep the site team busy for a little while to come.
