Let’s get together and celebrate volunteering!

We are excited to announce that we have a bumper range of events organised across the coming months to celebrate volunteering in the SE. These fabulous events aim to bring people together from across the regional volunteer family, to learn from each other and as part of the day and also give feedback about your experience as a WT volunteer. Check out what’s planned …

28th April – SE volunteer get-together and guided tour at Wakehurst, West Sussex

1st June – Volunteer Week launch and meadow fun day/ picnic at Warren Farm, Surrey

3rd June – Volunteer Week SE volunteer get together and conservation tour, Ashdown Forest

5th June – Volunteer Week SE volunteer get together and guided tour at Kew Gardens, London

7th June – SE volunteer get-together, guided tour and bee ID day at Victory Wood, Kent

25th September – SE volunteer get-together at Joyden’s Wood, Kent

Date TBC – SE volunteer get-together and Ancient Tree Hunt at Windsor Great Park (please note that this will be rescheduled from 12th May 2019, due to unforeseen circumstances)

September 2019 – date TBC, SE volunteer get together, Sacred Earth, East Sussex (likely to be 1st September, 2019)

Booking for all events is essential and full details can be found on the Whittle event calendar. Please email Anna to secure your place. Please note that some events have a maximum number of attendees and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis but you are welcome to attend as many as you like, wherever you are in the region. Thank you.

Inductions for new volunteers will also be set up across the year and details will be added to Whittle.

I am sure other people have already mentioned this, but Joydens Wood is not in Surrey, but in Kent, a couple of miles S.W. of the Dartford crossing. Eileen.
