Hedge laying in Spud Wood

We want to thank Neil and Claire for getting us some hedge laying training in Spud Wood.  Its been hard work and a bit wet and muddy. but we are so pleased with ourselves for getting it all done.

We had the training on the 9/10 February and when we arrived and looked at the hedge properly I know we were all wondering if we’d get even half done.  I do admit we’ve had a bit of chainsawing help along the way, but most of it is sore hands and backs.  Our challenge next year is to continue the good work and lay all the hedge that leads up through the trees to the top boundary of Spud Wood.

Well done. I photographed this wood last year for the Trust but can’t recall whereabouts this hedge is located.
    Once again well done
