Are you a member of one of our Woodland Working Groups? Want to find out more about management techniques to assist with your volunteering? The Forestry Commission are offering a FREE workshop on Thursday 28th March, 2019 from 10:30am – 3:30pm at Sanderstead’s Sports and Social Club, Lime Meadow Avenue, Sanderstead, South Croydon, CR2 9AS and neighbouring Kings Wood, Croydon to look at woodland management and what is important to consider when completing woodland management plans and forest operations.

Knowing your woodlands

Woodland Management:
Producing a Woodland Management plan

Tree Health & Resilience
The workshop will involve an outdoor session in the afternoon into the neighbouring Kings Wood, a 60ha ancient woodland, looking at the management that has been undertaken including coppicing, ride management and different harvesting options.
