Braving the wind to plant willow all in the name of clean water!
Last week a group of Woodland Trust volunteers joined forces with The Conservation Volunteers to cut willow pegs and plant them along the Glenedra River.
We braved the blustery weather for a mornings planting on mostly stoney ground, it was a hard mornings work but it plays a really important part in supporting our ongoing efforts to slow the flow of water flowing down the river and to improve the water quality.
A huge thank you to our volunteers for coming along to help!
We will be holding a second planting day in early January, keep an eye on Whittle for more information.
