Volunteers brush up on winter tree id skills
Many thanks to all of our volunteers who came along to our winter tree identification one day sessions held last weekend. Volunteers came along to our two days at Risley Moss, near Warrington, and Castleside, near Consett to join tutor Edward Mills to brush up on their winter identification of some of our native tree species . Feedback from volunteers who attended was excellent, with one volunteer stating ‘ It was a fantastic opportunity to learn from Edwards wealth of knowledge and experience. I learnt so much and feel so much more confident in my id skills as a result.’ Thanks to Edward for passing on his skills and knowledge and to everyone who came along and joined in the day.
We will be running these course again in 2019, all details will be on our Whittle events in the new year, so watch this space
