Back in June the South West area held their volunteer week thank you event at Curry Rivel, and we spent the afternoon at RSPB Swell Wood. The main reason for choosing the wood was owing to the nesting herons.
At the time I did not have a camera good enough to capture any of these amazing birds, but thankfully one of our volunteers Tim Watkins had a camera to capture some fantastic shots, and has recently had the time to edit them and has kindly shared them with me.
I think you agree that these photos are worth waiting for and thank you Tim for sharing them.
