Volunteers pulling up goldenrod

Last chance to help at Warren Farm, Surrey

Volunteers needed for last two sessions at Warren Farm

Are you able to help us at Warren Farm on Tuesday 31st July or Tuesday 4th September?

We are holding our last two sessions to remove Canadian goldenrod from the site as it affects the native wildflowers and this can affect the number of butterflies. Less goldenrod means more butterflies!

This invasive plant needs to be removed by hand and is great exercise.  The local Parkrun joined us recently and pulled up a huge pile of the unwanted plants.

Come along at 10.30am and stay for as long or as short as you wish. Please bring some water and a sunhat and suncream if it’s sunny.

Our efforts this year will be seen in future years and record numbers of Small Blue have been recorded since this work began. Please check our events page (Volunteering) and book a space.
