Brand new volunteer network event added – Hillhouse Wood, Essex
A brand new event has been planned for volunteers, which will take place on Saturday 29th September 2018, at the John Lampon Hall, West Bergholt, Nr Colechester. All volunteers are welcome to come along to this event, where we will provide you with Woodland Trust updates, news and other information during the morning session. This includes a presentation by Edwin Van Ek, Treescapes Development Lead for the Eastern Claylands project who will tell you all about the conservation work taking place in the local area. We’ll provide some lunch and then in the afternoon go out for a guided walk around nearby Hillhouse Wood.
Hillhouse Wood is part of the Woodland Trusts estate and is a beautiful site made up of a mosaic of woodland types. Volunteers carry out essential practical conservation activities here to support the site manager to deliver the management plan for the wood. In the afternoon the volunteers based at Hillhouse Wood will take everyone on a guided walk around the site.
