New Orientation Board at Gorse Covert Mounds

Volunteers from Friends of Gorse Covert Mounds, near Warrington have been hard at work over the last week installing a new orientation board for the site, which has involved digging some truly deep holes! The board is now in place and looks fantastic, thanks to everyone who helped with this.

Work has been ongoing on an orientation panel for the top of Pestfurlong Hill for some time. Suggestions to do this have been coming since the Friends Group was first formed . The Woodland Trust arranged and paid for the professional artwork and disk. The Friends Group have built the frame and completed the installation .

Nigel Balding, Group leader said “I’d like to thank everyone involved. I’m really pleased with the result and to have finished it at last. I really hope visitors like it.”
