Canal Woodland Working Group
Woodland working group members from Canal Wood have been hard at work on site this month. Work included maintenance to the willow dome and the bunded path not to mention a bit of up-cycling! The group uncovered an old railway sleeper which they rescued and plan to use as a foundation to access the well on site which the group restored early last year.
Work wasn’t just confined to the woodland this month either as Tom (pictured below) rescued a much needed lawnmower from the skip which he repaired so the group can now use it to maintain the paths through the woodland! All that hard work led to a well deserved tea break under the shade of the trees.
