New Volunteer Handbook

Volunteer Handbook June 2018

The new Volunteer Handbook has arrived, just in time for Volunteers Week, almost like it was planned! We will be releasing new parts of our volunteering framework during each day of volunteers week and sharing short videos of some of the great work you do.

If you would like a hard copy of the handbook please let us know in the comments below. A PDF copy is being uploaded to the library on Whittle today and is attached to this update. All volunteering development officers are receiving a supply to take to their events and upcoming inductions for new volunteers.

It has a been a labour of love by many people through the Trust, including some of our volunteers, to bring this up to date, you all know who you are so thank you very much for spending the time on this with us.

The handbook contains an overview of our volunteering framework and what support volunteers can they can expect from the Woodland Trust.

We will be reviewing and updating the handbook annually moving forward.

Thank you for all you do

Paul Taylor

National Volunteer Manager

PS I am helping to run an event here in Wadhurst this Saturday titled “when the oak spoke” I shall endeavour to do some recruiting for the Woodland Trust. Nicky has already been very helpful.
