It’s national Volunteers’ Week and we’d like to say a big ‘thank you’ for your fantastic contribution to our work.
By giving your time and expertise to support the Woodland Trust, you are part of a growing force of volunteers that enable us to achieve so much more than our income alone would ever make possible. In fact, volunteers across the UK have already contributed over 50,000 hours of their time to the Woodland Trust this year alone.
Working at every level of the organisation, from advising on tree planting schemes to delivering inspirational talks about woods and trees, since the Woodland Trust began our enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers have helped us become the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity. Thank you for being one of them.
Last year you shared your thoughts about your experience of volunteering with us through the National Volunteers’ Survey. Your input has helped guide the development of new policies and a brand new volunteering framework.
Later this year we will be going for Investing in Volunteers (IiV) which is the UK quality standard for good practice in volunteer management.
We hope that you are enjoying volunteering with the Woodland Trust and would like to thank you again for all of your hard work – we really couldn’t do it without you!
