Students Learn the Value of Volunteers

Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) Countryside Management HNC students from their Craibstone Campus on the outskirts of Aberdeen are using Den Wood for practical parts of their course. Over four sessions students will take part in a range of practical activities and surveying to gain key skills including health and safety, leadership, team work, and monitoring. This week they learned about the value of volunteers by meeting Den Wood Woodland Warden Bryan Low, who worked with the students to build a set of wooden steps to make a wet, slippery slope safer for visitors.
