North East Introduction to Woodland Management and Ecology Course
This event is open to all volunteers in our northern area
This free two day training session is intended as a beginners introduction to woodland management and ecology. Delivered by tutor Don Atkinson, it will aim to cover an introduction to the variation between UK woodland types and their classification and an overview of the ecology of UK woodland communities and habitats within woodlands. It will look at the identification of woodland vegetation types and associated key woodland species as well as the ecological effects of woodland management, key woodland management techniques and major issues in woodland conservation.
