Moto donates £100k!
Moto in the Community (MITC) has donated £100,000 to the Woodland Trust for the second year running.
Brian Larkin, MITC chairman, presented the donation to Beccy at Head Office today (29 March).
MITC is the charitable arm of Moto Hospitality, which operates 45 motorway service stations across the UK. The £100,000 has been raised via the sales of carrier bags across these sites.
The 2017 donation helped to support the charity’s First World War Centenary Woods commemoration project, with Moto groves now fully planted at Langley Vale, Dreghorn and Coed Ffos Las respectively.
On receiving the donation, Beccy said: “A massive thank you to Moto in the Community for its generous donation; the groves planted will create homes for wildlife and provide people with a place to explore, enjoy and remember for generations.”
MITC has also worked alongside the Trust to plant trees with local school children at Moto’s services in Reading and Tamworth.
