Ash tree finds fame!
An ash tree dug up from our Hucking Estate in Kent now hangs at the Turner Contemporary art gallery in Margate! It’s part of the exhibition ‘Journeys with the Waste Land’, and is hanging alongside classics by Edward Hopper, Paul Nash and a Turner!!
This is part of the Ash Project – you might have seen my previous articles about the project, which is an urgent cultural response to ash dieback led by Kent Downs AONB. The South East team is supporting their team locally and at a national level to raise awareness of chalara, and celebrate ash trees before it is too late, through a series of cultural and conservation events and activities.
