Citizen science.. let’s get involved

With nearly 70 species and 180 events there are opportunities for everyone to get involved with Nature’s Calendar. By sharing your wildlife sightings you will be contributing to a dataset with records dating back to 1753. This provides an invaluable source of information for researchers across the country trying to answer important questions about climate change. Discover what trends have been seen in recent years on our analysis page and keep up to date with news by reading the Nature’s Calendar blog. We always need more records to make our dataset even more useful. So whether you enjoy pottering around in your garden, exploring local woods, or just need an excuse to spend more time outdoors we would love to have you as a recorder. Nature’s Calendar asks for no time commitment just as and when you notice seasonal changes let us know, we do however ask that the areas you record you visit regularly so the information we receive is as accurate as possible, perhaps why gardens are such a popular choice! We need information from across the UK so it doesn’t matter where you are, you can get involved. With the recent launch of a new website recording has never been easier and we have species events which span the whole year, so why not give it a try? Sign up to Nature’s Calendar here
