Outdoor first aid training

Volunteers from throughout the north have been giving up their weekends to come along and take part in a two day outdoor first aid qualification to support the work of our practical woodland working groups throughout the region.

Delivered by Lancashire First Aid, the course is aimed at providing first aid in real life outdoor settings and has seen volunteers out and about in our woods, such as here at Skipton castle Woods, role playing first aid scenarios to the amusement of any woodland visitors!

Many thanks to all the volunteers who have taken part in this. Last year has seen twenty five volunteers already completing training, with a further 12 people coming along to a course in January at Croxdale, near Durham.
