Volunteering Development Officer – Scotland
I’m the Volunteering Development Officer for Scotland. I’m based in the Perth office and I’ve been in post since September 2016. I’m passionate about supporting volunteers in Scotland to help make the volunteering experience even more enjoyable and to run more smoothly. I’m also keen to make the most the exciting opportunities to expand our volunteer numbers in Scotland, for example through our work with crofters and our West Coast Treescape project.
I have previously been a Chartered Town Planner and Chartered Landscape Architect, and have also worked for Plantlife (as Lower Plants and Fungi Officer..my best ever job title!), and with the Community Woodland Association. I’ve managed to squeeze my passion for nature and for connecting people with nature into my whole career.
I live in rural Perthshire with my husband, two daughters and a variety of animals. We have a big garden in which we grown only anything that is good for wildlife and/or that we can eat!
